South Australia and Victoria’s top wine experiences are oh-so-tasty.

Wine & Design >

cube

In South Australia, d’Arenberg’s Cube is a newly opened wine cellar in the McLaren Vale region. It is equally an architectural icon, art installation, and wine and food experience. Plus, it boasts a very non-traditional take on the cellar experience by Chief Winemaker Chester Osborn (aka. the “Willy Wonka of Wine”). Pt. Leo Estate on the Mornington Peninsula, in Victoria, is home to both a 50-acre vineyard and a 19-acre sculpture park. The park is full of an ever-changing display of both Australian and international works of art. Made from wood, metal, and tile, the pieces are set amongst the vines and native Australian gardens.

VIP Experiences >

vipexper

In Victoria, Montalto takes you behind-the-scenes to experience the winemaking and grape growing process first hand. Taste wine straight from the barrel and learn how wines develop. Cap off your visit with a locally inspired wine-paired lunch. One of the world’s most renown wine makers located in a famous wine region, Penfolds Barossa Valley’s cellar door lets you blend your own wine. Create your own Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro concoction—similar to Penfolds’ own Bin 138.

Wildlife and Wine >

wildlifewine

Adelaide Hills is peppered with astounding wine cellar experiences, including The Lane’s Wine and Cheesemaking masterclass. Find time to cuddle a koala at Cleland Wildlife Park, and then venture a little further to spend a night or two on Kangaroo Island (a 20-minute flight from Adelaide). While there, visit Dudley Winery, where the wines are as exceptional as the scenery and wildlife.

Above the Vines >

balloon

Soar in a hot air balloon and experience the sun rise over the Yarra Valley. Watch the landscape and kangaroos come to life as the day begins. After landing, head to Rochford Wines and enjoy a champagne breakfast before sampling wines, feeding kangaroos at Healesville Sanctuary, or heading back to Melbourne. For those wanting an aerial view for the entire day, take a helicopter journey over Melbourne and then fly to the Yarra Valley just in time to land at a winery of your choosing and indulge in tastings, tours, and local dining before heading back to the city.
