The 420-foot Ultramarine accommodates 199 travelers via the most spacious suites in its category, while two twin-engine helicopters elevate a robust portfolio of adventure. Expedition Explorers

Quark’s Ultramarine maximizes travelers’ polar adventures via two twin-engine helicopters and 20 quick-launching Zodiacs. All grant unique experiences with wildlife and the polar landscape.

• Two twin-engine helicopters and two heliports.
Operated from two heliports, two H145 helicopters allow passengers to simultaneously experience new destinations accessible only by air and experience rare aerial perspectives of Antarctica. All guests aboard the Ultramarine enjoy an included helicopter flightseeing tour.

• Twenty quick-deploy Zodiacs.
Twenty quick-launching Zodiacs at four embarkation points mean the expedition team can embark Zodiacs faster, safer, and easier than ever before, ensuring all passengers can be off ship and exploring the destination simultaneously.

Off-Ship Adventures

Ultramarine offers the most robust portfolio of off-ship adventure options in the industry, allowing guests to customize their polar experience. Options include flightseeing, heli-hiking, and helicopter-supported alpine kayaking, among other unique excursions. Additionally, a team of expedition specialists, naturalists, and guides all have rich backgrounds in marine biology, history, glaciology, geology, and more—enriching each off-ship adventure as well as onboard offerings.
