Hawaii’s legendary Turtle Bay Resort has recently opened its doors following a major transformation, embracing the captivating beauty and natural splendor of Oahu’s North Shore. Gracing 1,300 oceanfront acres, the resort immerses visitors in stunning landscapes, secluded sandy beaches, a working farm, and world-famous surf breaks.

The resort features two golf courses, including one designed by Arnold Palmer, horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking trails, and miles of pristine beaches. Whether on land, in the air, or at sea, Turtle Bay’s extensive roster of activities and experiences provide nearly endless opportunities for exploration.

Set on a peninsula, each room and suite boasts an ocean view. Plus, each of the 410 guestrooms and suites will be renovated over the coming year. Forty-two new and private Ocean Bungalows are all just steps from water. With towering 15-foot vaulted ceilings and private lanais that open to the living areas, the Bungalows offer a more secluded experience. They also feature a private pool area for the exclusive use of its guests.

The resort preserves the authenticity and heart of the area with the recent renovation. The new light-filled lobby has had its walls replaced with windows to create awe-inspiring views of beaches, surf, and sky. To celebrate the local artistic community, the lobby also features large-scale art by Hawaii-based artists, including Nick Kuchar, known for his vintage travelogue-inspired designs, and Abigail Romanchak, who specializes in Native Hawaiian printmaking.

Beyond the lobby, a new infinity-style water feature leads guests to a terraced pool deck and a new adults-only pool, redesigned family-friendly pool, and front-row views of the crashing waves and surfers. The pool deck is also adorned with new luxurious features like cabanas and Sunset, a new pool bar.

Celebrating its legendary surf DNA and deep connection with the North Shore community, the Surf House is a new destination for surfers and fans to come together and celebrate the sport. The space features tributes to surfing’s icons and a curated retail experience, including vintage surf gear.

The resort has also enlisted professional surfer, content creator, and North Shore local Jamie O’Brien to lead its surf program. O’Brien honed his skills on the Banzai Pipeline (one of the world’s most famous surf breaks), and will bring his unique approach to the sport to Turtle Bay. Surf experiences range from helping beginners catch their first wave to coaching experienced surfers training for Pipeline.
